Justin Anderson, born in Virginia, United States, on November 19, 1993, joins Barça ready to face the biggest challenge of his career since arriving in Europe, following his time with Valencia Basket and Río Breogán.
After playing college hoops with the Virginia Cavaliers, in 2015 Anderson was a 21st pick for the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Draft. He would then spend several years switching between clubs, including spells with the Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, Indiana Pacers and Cleveland Cavaliers, playing 15 playoff games with three different teams, and also spent time in the G League before opting to cross the Atlantic.
His European adventure started at Río Breogán in 2023, where he averaged 11.6 points in the Liga Endesa and gained his first experience of continental competitions playing in the Champions League, posing impressive stats of 14.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.
He left Lugo for Valencia Basket for the rest of the campaign, averaging 8.5 points in the Liga Endesa and 6.1 in 18 EuroLeague contests.
