FC Barcelona’s visit to the United States has raised huge expectations in the local media. President Joan Laporta has been especially in the limelight as the team has made its way around different parts of the country.
His first appearance was in Miami, where the interviewer was none other than Barça legend Hristo Stoichkov, who is now a presenter on Univision.
In Las Vegas, he met soccer editor Kevin Baxter of the Los Angeles Times and also of ESPN.
In Dallas, Laporta spoke to business and finance magazine Forbes, publisher of the annual soccer rich list. On that occasion, it was Michael Ozanian who was asking the questions.
In New York he paid a visit to the studios of CBS, in 57th Street, Manhattan, and also passed by The New York Times to have a look around the offices and attend an interview with Tariq Panja. He also spoke to Goal.com.
