The official team photo for the Barça Foundation, including the coaching team, the ambassadors Aitana Bonmatí and Sergi Roberto, the Foundation's managing director Marta Segú, and president Joan Laporta brought to a close a splendid presentation event for the team today at the Spotify Camp Nou and in the FC Barcelona Museum. The champions of the LaLiga Genuine 2021/22 Compañerismo group took to the same stage as the first team with the media watching on. They will travel to Tarragona tomorrow, where they will play their first game of the LaLiga Genuine 2022/23 season.
The Barça Foundation players are unlikely to forget a day when they came out through the stadium's dressing room tunnel, one by one, hearing their names, and they again danced the famous haka in the company of the Club's president, the managing director of the Foundation and its ambassadors.
The master of ceremonies, Àngels Prieto, had a few words with one of the Barça Foundation players, Yenny Cabanillas, with coach Josep Ferré, and also with Aitana Bonmatí and Sergi Roberto, before president Laporta took centre stage to underline what a great idea it was to create this team, about how positive it has been for the players, and that he was particularly proud of their conduct and efforts. “It's time to start a new season. With new additions to the team and the coaching staff, but with the same excitement and same idea to compete to win and continue growing as people”, he concluded.
The documentary
Prior to the experience in Spotify Camp Nou, the first part of the presentation took place in the audio-visual room on the second floor of the Museum. There the Barça Studios-produced twelve minute short film 'When winning everything is not the most important part' was shown, which relates the experiences of the Barça Foundation team during their debut season, as well as their achievements both on and off the pitch.
The event was attended by Carlos Campuzano, Social Rights Councillor from the Government of Catalonia, Ramón Lamiel, the Catalan Traffic Service director and member of the Catalonia Accessibility Council and Guttmann Institute Social Council, and Ramon Vilà, a representative for the Les Corts district.
