Fans return to Camp Nou

The Sunday the supporters will be back at Camp Nou, almost a year and a half after the last game with spectators at the stadium

The last time that fans attended an FC Barcelona game at Camp Nou was on 7 March 2020 as since then health regulations due to the Covid-19 pandemic matches have been played behind closed doors. This Sunday, 15 August Barça welcome the visit of Real Sociedad (kick off, 8pm CEST) and for the first time in 18 months there will be fans in the stadium, albeit a limited number due to the ongoing coronavirus health situation.

15,280 season ticket holders have requested tickets and they are all guaranteed a seat. On Friday the health authorities will announce new regulations that my affect capacity at Camp Nou and so from then on the number of seats available to season ticket holders and non season ticket holders will be official.

Curiously enough, the last time Barça played in front of fans at Camp Nou was in the same fixture in the 2019/20 season. Barça beat Real Sociedad 1-0 thanks to a Leo Messi penalty.

The game will be the first this season at Camp Nou given that the blaugranes have played all their preseasons home fixtures in front of fans at the Estadi Johan Cruyff against Nàstic, Girona and Juventus. For the likes of Pedri, Dest, Mingueza, Pjanic and Ronald Koeman himself it will the first game with fans at Barça's famous stadium as well as for the summer arrivals.
