Juan Palomino was born on 11 October 2001 in Antequera and joined Barça Atlètic in the summer of 2020 from his hometown club BM Antequera. The Andalusian had two good years with the reserves and was soon knocking on the door of the senior squad.
His Liga Asobal debut came in November 2020 at Puente Genil, but he only occasionally got further chances before accepting a loan offer from Logroño La Rioja in July 2022, the intention being for him to develop at his new club.
Palomino did just that. His coach Miguel Ángel Velasco used him in 28 out of 30 possible games in the Liga Asobal, and he scored 70 goals. And in 2023/24, Juan Palomino played all 30 games and produced 104 goals.
After a hugely impressive loan spell, he has now come back to Barça.
